Blues in the Night, Another Oldie but Goodie From Jim Wurth

Somebody posted a picture of their finished Blues in the Night, so we immediately started digging in the Rainbow Gallery vault to see if we could find it. Success! We've not only found the pattern, we've kitted it up for you.

Just look at these threads! It's a very sparkly piece, done up in shades of turquoise, silver, and black in silk, metallic, and rayon.

We can see this in many different color combinations. Just pick a solid color, and we'll match up a metallic and neutral color that work with it. Click on over to the Catalog to see our Blues in the Night kit now!

Kaleidoscopic Kits from Kurdy

They're here! We've finally assembled all the materials for two of the colorways of Cat's Eyes, the stunning charted needlepoint design that received a first-place ribbon at the 48th Annual Woodlawn Needlework Exhibition in March. As things came in, we found that as usual, the pictures of the finished pieces don't do justice to the fabulous colors and textures.

Isn't Cleopatra beautiful? You're seeing everything but the beads, and boy are there beads! In addition to Mill Hill beads and twisted bugle beads, you get 276 crystal bicones in a rainbow of colors: topaz, green, red, aquamarine, and olive. We're using a sandstone canvas with this colorway.

Venus is absolutely gorgeous! We love the rich jewel tones of this colorway. As Dawn was putting the kit together, she kept double-checking to make sure she had it right, the picture was so deceptive. This too includes many beads, with Miyuki Rocailles, twisted bugle beads, and 234 crystal bicones in fuchsia, olive, amethyst, and aqua. Dazzling!

We have limited quantities available right now but will be keeping these beauties in stock.

Lois Caron's Garden of Delights

It's springtime, and our thoughts turn to gardens and gardening. Lois Caron's latest quilt-block design, Prairie Garden, looks to be a fun and interesting project.

A variety of stitches create her silky garden: continental, spider, satin, mosaic, basketweave, cross-stitch, and more. Using Soie Cristale and Waterlilies in yummy shades of green, fuchsia, peach, brick, and black on 18-ct white mono canvas, you'll bring this garden to life.

We've kitted it up for the 9" x 9" design pictured here and on the cover of the pattern, but Lois has also provided charts for medium-, small-, and ornament-sized designs in the chart pack. Check it out!

While you're over there in the Catalog, check out the other new items we've added. We'll be adding more in the next few days.
