ANG Stitch of the Month 2011

Today's the day we've all been waiting for! ANG has announced the 2011 Stitch of the Month mystery design, Flowers of Italy by Ro Pace. This design promises to be a beauty and exciting to stitch. Since it's a mystery, all we know so far is that it's a grid of 10 24 x 24 diamond areas to be released February through November, with a final wrap-up in December.

Scarlet Thread will be offering thread packs of the gorgeous original colorway that Ro used.

Pictured are all but two threads, the arrival of which we're awaiting: J.L. Walsh Silk Perle and Access Commodities Accentuate (a gold/multi metallic). We think this original colorway is enticing enough to get us started, but we may just have to delve into our variegated silk flosses to see what other palettes we can come up with. Someone has developed one that is similar to the Peacock colorway that Sara Leigh's using for Stars for a New Millenium.

We'll be adding the thread pack to our catalog within the next few days, as soon as we nail down the pricing. Please don't hesitate to e-mail us with your choice of a variegated thread for your own custom colorway. The threads are a mix of silk floss, silk perle, perle coton, and metallic; but you may choose to do all silks or all cottons with the one metallic. For a more economical alternative, Carrie's Creation Threads makes both silk and cotton overdyes that are absolutely gorgeous, and we have them. If you don't see the color you want in our catalog, just e-mail us and we'll get it in either the silk or the cotton, your choice.

Check back in a couple of days for an update.
